James McGuiness was born 24 July 1990, grew up in Newark, Nottinghamshire He went to Holy Trinity Roman Catholic school in Newark. At the age of 13, McGuiness went to Charlotte Hamilton School of Dance. He has a non-identical twin brother Tom and three other siblings. Jay and tom ( his twin) are pretty much best mates, there not completely identical, Tom called his brother 'JumboJay and himself Tinytom' - how sweet. (jay ain't so jumbo no more ;) ) Jay is a skilled tap dancer as when he was a young teen, his mum was going to tap lessons and jay decided to tag along, as it turns out he was great at it then went to a dance school.

Us Fans and a Us hangover. And a new single!

The wanted weren't in the us for long but the fan's made a big impression on max.
As the boys where promoting gyc, they where shocked that they where well known in the us already :o
 'It's all been really quick, actually, and we've only been over here for a week and we've seen it grow massively in just a week,' says tom. Max thinks the band's admirers across the Atlantic are different to the ones in the UK.  
'The American fans are so optimistic, very intense,' Max tells MTV News. 'They're just really enthusiastic. '
'I get a massive buzz off American people. I think it's really refreshing.'


The lads have revealed they'll be off on crazy nights out in Las Vegas with boxer Mike Tyson.
'All I keep thinking is about his part in 'The Hangover' says Tom.
but poor Nathan, hes to young to go out drinking with the guys as he is only 18, so he was sensible and had a early night. tom tells the sun 'I feel a but sorry for Nath. 'He'll have to stay in while we're getting hammered.'

Tom teaches Brooklyn Beckham Guiter

Jay Mcguiness revals that band mate Tom Parker has been giving young teen Brooklyn beckham guiter lessons!.Thanks to Tom, 13 year old Brooklyn can now play a oasis song on the guiter.Jay says' Tom taught Brooklyn to play wonder wall' brooklyn has only been playing for 3 weeks and is now into the rock music like Oasis. Is the young teen gonna follow in his dads football boots and be a fottball player or gonna stick with his passion for music and bee a musican........only time will tell.( Brooklyn is on the right. )
